About Somnath Mali
Somnath Mali is an Indian singer. He is also a music composer and a songwriter. He was born in Kolkata of the West Bengal state. He is the son of Mr. Mrinal Kanti Mali and Mrs. Minati Mali. His first music teacher is his mother. He has learnt Hindusthani Classical music from his childhood. Besides that he also learnt Rabindrasangeet, Nazrulgeeti, Bhajan and Modern songs.
His songs first appeared on the social media in the year 2016. His uploaded song "Subh Sukh Chain" the INA song (National anthem of the Provisional Government of Free India), received good response, which motivated him to upload more videos.
He also composed theme song for Behala Book Fair Kolkata 2020.
He also performed in Delhi World Culture Festival 2016 as part of Rabindrasangeet group from West Bengal.
He also worked for group theatre "Kalpratima" as a singer and actor.
According to Mali, although he respects a wide variety of musical artists, he considers Kishore Kumar as his inspiration.
