SP Balasubrahmanyam, popularly know as SPB or Balu is a playback singer, music composer and film producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi film industries. He has received six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer for his work in 4 different languages namelyHindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. His name also featured in the Guinness Book of World Records for recording most number of film scores. He has recorded over 1,00,000 songs in various Indian languages. He is a recipient of Padmashri in 2001 and Padma Bhushan in 2011.
